Kinship is a family record-keeping tool. It is not a law firm, not a mediation service under any statutory scheme, and nothing it produces — including the Family Agreement Memo — is a will, a contract, a deed, legal advice, financial advice or tax advice. The AI mediator facilitates conversation and records it. Whether a memo has any legal effect in a later dispute is a question for a court or a qualified professional — we make no representation that it does. Structured family meetings with an AI facilitator, composed memos, per-person acknowledgements, PDF export. Free tier: one meeting and one watermarked memo per family. Paid tiers per the in-app store listing. The AI mediator is automated: it can be imperfect, and its restatements are drafts for your family to confirm — read the memo before acknowledging it.
One account per natural person; you must be 16+ (app rated 17+). An acknowledgement is your statement that the memo accurately records the conversation, made under your typed legal name; do not acknowledge under another person's name. You are responsible for what you say in meetings.
Yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process (including AI processing per the Privacy Policy) and display it to your family space. Transcripts are append-only and memos immutable by design; you agree this integrity feature is not a defect.
No unlawful content, no harassment, no impersonation, no attempts to alter the record, no use against a family member who has not consented to be in the family space. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or other people in it.
Billed via Google Play / App Store. Subscriptions renew until cancelled in your store account; store refund policies apply plus any non-excludable statutory rights (including the Australian Consumer Law). "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Kinship service, one family space, unlimited meetings and members.
Provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes rights that cannot be excluded (e.g. ACL consumer guarantees); where liability cannot be excluded it is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the service or the amount you paid in the last 12 months. We are not liable for the outcome of any family dispute, estate proceeding or care decision, for reliance on a memo as if it were legal advice, or for indirect or consequential loss.
You indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your breach of these terms, except to the extent we caused the loss.
You may delete your account at any time in-app. We may terminate for material breach with notice. Clauses 1, 4, 7, 8 survive.
Personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own, for your family's private use. No reverse engineering except as permitted by law. Apple/Google are not parties to, nor responsible under, this agreement; Apple's standard EULA minimum terms apply to iOS.
